Video Game Pits Players Against Christian Cult

For the first time in more than a decade, video game Far Cry is casting its villains as a American Christian cult in the mountains of Montana.

Game makers Ubisoft have long been criticized for setting the first person in far flung, exotic locations which then pits the protagonist against locals of color.

Now, for the first time, the latest edition of game is set in America, in the fictional Hope County, in Montana.

But if the disturbing trailer and religious themed artwork is anything to go by, Far Cry 5 is set to be the most controversial game yet.
