Corona virus vaccine will use Tom Hanks Blood?

The coming vaccine for the corona virus could contain some antibodies from Tom Hanks and his wife Rita Wilson. These antibodies were created when they fought off the corona virus earlier this year.

While in Australia making his new movie which is an Elvis Presley Biopic, he was infected by the corona virus. He was noted as one of the first celebrities to get the virus. After making a full recovery he returned back to Los Angeles, where he lives.
When they arrived back into the states they donated their blood to determine if their antibiotics could be used by scientist for the vaccine.

Tom Hanks, who has been in multiple movies and most well known for his role on “Forrest Gump” and most recently for his “Mr Rogers” movie. While on a recent podcast “Wait Wait .. Don’t Tell Me!” Said referring to the vaccine “”We have not only been approached; we have said, do you want our blood? Can we give plasma? And, in fact, we will be giving it now to the places that hope to work on what I would like to call the Hank-ccine.”
He noted on the podcast that his wife had worse symptoms than he did stating : “Rita went through a tougher time than I did. She had a much-higher fever and she had some other symptoms. She lost her sense of taste and smell. She got absolutely no joy from food for a better part of three weeks. She was so nauseous, she had to crawl on the floor from the bed to the facilities. It lasted a while.”
